Cane Garden Bay
is the sort of beach you see on a postcard. Make a right at the bottom of the hill and drive for about 10 minutes. There are several beachfront bar/restaurants, perfect for lunch or an afternoon beer or rum punch.
Peter Island Resort
is a luxury get-away and an easy day trip by ferry from Road Town. The beach, pool, spa and restaurant are all the Caribbean at its best.
Sage National Park
is a rain forest located on the West End. It is a very pleasant walk in the woods with great views at the end of the trails.
SCUBA Diving
is available through Blue Water Divers in Nanny Cay or Soper’s Hole.
Activities
Long Bay Beach
is the big beach at the bottom of the hill. Great for morning walks.
Smuggler's Cove Beach
is nearby and well protected for swimming and snorkeling. Make a left at the bottom of the hill; continue past the end of the Long Bay Hotel Property, go up the hill and make the first right. Follow the dirt road 1/2 mile and the beach will be on your right.
Carrot Bay
is the surfers' hangout just past Sebastians. It is home to the Bomba Shack beach bar and its famous full moon parties for hardcore revelers.
Snorkeling
day trips are available through Voyage Yacht Charters in Soper's Hole in the West End.
Norman Island
is another easy day trip to a beach bar, Pirate's Bight and the infamous Willy T floating bar/restaurant.
